Bloor St BIA Fireside Benches
Bloor Street’s new Fireside benches are sure to cause a stir this holiday season. In a truly collaborative effort between the Bloor Street BIA, DTAH, MBL, Somerville Construction and Hauser Site Furniture, a unique entity has been created. These semi-circular benches fabricated from rolled laser cut aluminum, shaped Ipe wood slat seats and integrated programmable lighting add a warm ‘campfire’ feel to this chic pedestrian destination. Not only do these ‘seating spheres’ offer a resting place for weary shoppers, but they also provide added protection to the trees that line this iconic stretch of Bloor Street.
