Honouring Legacy - Vimy Memorial, France
Hauser Site Furniture is honoured to partner with The Vimy Foundation for the official inauguration of the Eaton Family Pathway at Centennial Park, located near the Canadian National Vimy Memorial in France.
Made possible through a three-year, $1.2 million partnership with the Eaton family and designed by Canadian landscape architect Linda Dicaire, the pathway enriches the park with sculptural artistry, green space, and a paved walkway that complements the park’s original vision.
At the centre of the pathway stands a powerful sculpture by Canadian artist Ruth Abernethy, depicting an intricate tapestry featuring symbols of peace, draped over one of our custom-designed Hauser Vimy benches. These memorial benches—crafted with care and purpose—can also be found circling the park, providing spaces for visitors to pause, reflect, and connect with the surrounding history. The Eaton Family Pathway serves as both a tribute to the Eaton family’s legacy and a lasting reminder of the Canadians who served and sacrificed during the First World War. Hauser Site Furniture is proud to have contributed to this meaningful landscape, where design, remembrance, and reflection come together.
